Research Interests

My research examines the interplay between peripheral and central circulatory systems and how this interplay influences the regulation of the cardiovascular system. We use several different methodological techniques to help understand cardiovascular regulation and examine where dysregulation between the peripheral and central circulatory systems may exist. I am particularly interested in how large artery stiffening and an altered control of skin blood flow influences cardiovascular regulation during cardiovascular challenges such as thermal challenges, exercise and baroreceptor unloading.
